SmartBoard Fun!

I just wanted to tell a little about how my class has been using the SmartBoard. We use it every morning during our calendar activities, and I also use it for all of the subjects that I teach. I wasn't sure how quickly first grade students would pick up on how to use the SmartBoard, but I have been amazed at what they are able to do! They picked up so quickly, and they absolutely love using it. We have been reviewing letter sounds the past 2 weeks, and I have incorporated SmartBoard lessons to help us review. The class looks forward to this time every day! They just can't wait to use the SmartBoard. I can't wait to see what they are able to do by the end of the year!

My Vision of the 21st Century Classroom

My vision of a 21st Century Classroom, is a classroom that is enriched with technology. I believe that the students should recieve hands-on experience with the most up-to-date technology daily. Technology opens up countless doors to teach students and enhance learning. This is what we as teachers strive to do, so why not use the various technologies available to us to reach our goals. Our goals can easily be reached in a 21st century classroom. Not only will technology enhance our teaching, but students will learn countless skills that they will be able to use now and carry with them when they leave our classrooms.
